The Association for Better Living & Education (ABLE) is a non-profit organization working to improve conditions and to create brighter futures for children, families and communities around the world. ABLE works to accomplish this by promoting and establishing programs addressing the problems of illiteracy, drugs, crime and immorality which plague our societies.

What does ABLE do to address society's problems?

ABLE provides training, consultation and quality control services to four independent social betterment organizations, each of which has a worldwide network of organizations that directly aid people and communities in their efforts to overcome these social problems. These four organizations are: Applied Scholastics, Criminon, Narconon and The Way to Happiness Foundation.

What is Narconon®?

The Narconon network uses breakthrough discoveries in the fields of drugs and addiction to free substance abusers from the chains of addiction. The Narconon network runs a highly effective drug education campaign; operates a series of drug-free rehabilitation centers; and also oversees the use of these tools to provide drug-free and relatively pain-free withdrawal programs for addicts, called “The First Step” program.

What is Criminon™?

The Criminon network creates safer communities by rehabilitating criminals to productive citizens, thus breaking the revolving door of crime-imprisonment-release-more crime. Criminon staff and volunteers accomplish this through correspondence courses with offenders and through on-site programs in prisons, juvenile halls and community programs.
