Criminon Florida Ushers in 2024 with Renewed Hope for Second Chances

Criminon Florida’s Continued Mission for Rehabilitation

Criminon Florida, a vital force in the field of criminal rehabilitation, celebrates over three decades of dedicated service in 2024. This organization has consistently delivered on its mission to foster true rehabilitation among the incarcerated, employing the methodologies of renowned author and humanitarian, L. Ron Hubbard.

Though its name suggests a state focus, Criminon Florida’s impact is felt across the nation. Presently, they are actively serving an impressive roster of over 2,500 students across 34 states, including a recent expansion into Illinois.

The year 2023 marked a significant milestone for Criminon Florida, with a total of 891 successful course and seminar completions.

The scale of their operation is no small feat, demanding continuous dedication. In the past year, Criminon Florida’s volunteer supervisors have undertaken truly noteworthy efforts, with some supervisors assisting up to 70 inmates weekly.

However, these accomplishments were not without challenges. Criminon Florida faced numerous obstacles, from persistent mail delays and undelivered correspondence to frequent inmate transfers. A notable shift in operations involved adapting to the use of electronic tablets for lesson delivery, a transition that presented its own set of challenges.

Texas posed a particular challenge when it altered its mail operations to digital formats, resulting in the return of lessons for 144 students. Through persistent and patient communication, Criminon Florida’s executives successfully convinced the Texas Prisons Mailroom Director of the necessity for hand-delivered correspondence courses.

The true impact of Criminon Florida’s efforts is reflected in the heartfelt testimonials from their students. Two exemplary students, now reformed and released from prison, shared:

“It is because of Criminon that I am a new person. After over 12 years in prison, it was Criminon that equipped me with the life skills needed to rejoin society as a productive member.”

“The volunteers at Criminon impart their knowledge and time to men and women in incarceration. My respect for each of them is immense. I am honored to be a part of the Criminon family.”

The respect and admiration for Criminon Florida and their unwavering dedication to rehabilitation are shared by many, a tribute to their enduring commitment to giving second chances.
